Description of Works
Following construction of new News International offices and high tech News Paper Printing facility adjacent to the M25 & A10 Junction an upgraded access to the facility via the A10 was required, VolkerFitzpatricks were awarded the contract in the summer of 2008. Works comprised the addition of an extra lane both North bound and South bound on the A10 and a controlled priority crossing for HGV vehicles entering News International facility

Tom Blackwell Contractors & Plant Hire Limited were awarded the sub contract Earthworks on project which included, hard breakout of existing carriageway, cut to fill earthworks, removal of redundant buried services, road box excavation, placement and trim of Capping & type 1 and finally re-soiling of verges. All works were completed under traffic management on this busy section of the A10 leading straight off junction 25 of the M25.
