Description of Works
Barking Riverside Ltd is a company formed by Bellway Homes to develop a 350acre site at Barking Essex, the site is the former location of 3 power stations the area is all due to be developed to create a new community including housing, schools and shops
The site is located adjacent to the river Thames Estuary and prior to development the ground levels of the site have all been raised by 2-3 metres, prior to development all raised surfaces are covered by 3 metres of surcharge material.
Tom Blackwell Contractors & Plant Hire Limited contract involved the removal of surcharge from Phase 2.11 and placement of this excavated material to another plot as engineered fill and further surcharge

Project involved haulage of material a distance in excess of 1 mile each way with plant crossing point across public highway. Tom Blackwell Contractors & Plant Hire Limited allocated extensive plant resources to meet clients pressing development deadlines.
